Your coach shares their SkillSplitter link. Students upload a video of their training and tell the coach what to focus on. Payment is collected at submission and held in escrow until the coach completes and submits the review — students are automatically refunded if the review isn't delivered on time.

Coach writes back

The coach watches the footage and writes specific notes — what's working, what to fix, what to drill. Student gets the feedback directly. Coach gets paid.

How does payment work for coaches?

Students pay when they submit footage. The payment is held until you complete the review. Once you submit your feedback, the funds are released. SkillSplitter takes a 15% platform fee — you keep 85%.
What if I need to pause submissions?

You can close your submission slots at any time from your dashboard. Students will see that you're not currently accepting new submissions. You can reopen whenever you're ready.
Do students need an account to submit?

Students create a basic account during submission — just a name, email, and password. It takes about a minute and keeps their feedback in one place.
Is SkillSplitter a marketplace where students browse coaches?

No. SkillSplitter is infrastructure coaches use to extend their existing coaching relationships. Students arrive because their coach sent them a link — not because they were browsing a marketplace. The coach is still the relationship.
What video formats are supported?

Students can upload MP4, MOV, and AVI files up to 2GB. Most phone-recorded footage works immediately without conversion.
